I will praise you, Lord

Psalm 29

for the Parish of Our Lady, Stowmarket. Rejoice! Sing!

  • Refrain:
    I will praise you, Lord,
    you have rescued me;
    I will praise you, Lord,
    you have set me free.
  1. I will praise you, Lord,
    you have rescued me
    from those who mean to do harm.
    You have raised my soul from the dead,
    restored me to life
    from those who sink into the grave.
  2. Sing psalms to God,
    give thanks, praise God's name!
    God's anger lasts a moment,
    but favour through life.
    At night there are tears,
    but joy comes with dawn.
  3. The Lord listened, had pity.
    The Lord came to my help.
    For me God changed my mourning to dancing,
    my God, I thank you for ever.
